Privacy Policy

Muslim Discipline · Last updated: 6 July 2026

Muslim Discipline (the "App") is an offline-first Islamic productivity app (focus timer, tasks, journal, dhikr, prayer times, adhan, Hijri calendar, and qibla). We respect your privacy. We do not run any server, we do not require an account, and we do not collect or sell your personal data. This policy explains the limited data the App processes.

1. Data stored only on your device

Your tasks, checklists, journal entries, dhikr progress, notes, statistics and settings are stored locally on your device only. They are never transmitted to us or anyone else. A backup is a file you create and control yourself. Uninstalling the App removes this data.

2. Data sent to third-party services (for features you use)

The App contacts the following services only to make specific features work. We have no server and never store this data ourselves.

  • Location Search (Offline First): When you search for a city, the App primarily searches a local offline database embedded in the App containing 24,293 cities, so most searches complete instantly on your device. For more specific places such as districts, sub-districts and villages that are not in the local database, and when adding cities to the World Clock, your search query may be sent to MyQuran (Indonesian cities with accurate prayer-time data), Photon and OpenStreetMap Nominatim to find a match.
  • Approximate / precise location (GPS coordinates): sent toOpenStreetMap (Nominatim)and TimeAPI only as a fallback if your city is not found locally or if you use the GPS auto-detect feature to align prayer times and the qibla direction. Prayer times themselves are always calculated on your device, entirely offline.
  • IP address: sent to ipapi.coonly as a fallback to estimate your approximate location when GPS is unavailable.
  • Public Holidays: The App displays public holidays entirely offline using an internal database compiled from the open-source library date-holidays (ISC License), whose underlying data is provided under the CC BY-SA 3.0 License. This data is provided on a best-effort basis and updated with each app release. Islamic holiday dates (e.g. Eid al-Fitr / Eid al-Adha) are estimates and may differ by a day depending on local moon sighting (rukyat) and official government announcements.

These requests are made transiently to provide the feature and are subject to each provider’s own privacy policy.

3. Purchases (Lifetime)

Muslim Discipline is a paid application offering a lifetime license. All payments are processed securely by Google Play Billingand validated through RevenueCat, which handles the purchase token and an anonymous identifier to grant your lifetime access. We never receive your card or payment details.

4. Advertising

The App does not currently display ads and contains no advertising trackers. If advertising (Google AdMob) is introduced in a future version, this policy will be updated beforehand.

5. Analytics & tracking

We use no third-party analytics, no advertising SDKs, and no cross-app tracking. The "Analytics" screen inside the App only visualizes your own on-device activity.

6. Permissions

  • Location (foreground only), for accurate prayer times and qibla direction. We do not use background location.
  • Notifications / exact alarms: to deliver adhan, prayer, fasting and custom alarms on time.

7. Children

The App is a general-audience productivity and worship app and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

8. Data retention & deletion

Because your data lives on your device, you are in full control: clear it in-app via Settings, or simply uninstall the App to delete everything. The third-party services above retain data only per their own policies.

9. Changes

We may update this policy. Material changes will be reflected here with a new "Last updated" date.
